The round back with the beautiful connection from the arms is superb constructed by cabinetmaker Johannes Hansen in Danmark.
The beauty of ” the chair ” in combination with the great comfort of it makes it a very nice chair.
This chair became famous in the USA when ” the chair ‘ was used during the Nixon/ Kennedy debate. This is one of the must have models of modern vintage design classics. This vintage example executed in oak is marked with the makers brand from Johannes Hansen.
The oak wood frame is in good original condition,  with the patina from age and use. The seat cushion has some marks from use and can be reupholstered at request. But we love the patine and marks of use.
