Rare loose cushion armchair Model EA 178 designed by Charles Eames in 1971. Original brown upholstery and a black polyester shell and aluminum base.  Manufactured by Vitra . Herman Miller.
Introduced in 1971, the Eames Office developed a new upholstery technique for this new sculptural shape. It has formed-in-place urethane foam filling. The loose cushion makes the chair super comfortable and nice to sit.
